Absolutely agree with Kelly regarding Trade Smart University. I wish I had discovered them sooner.
Hi Kelly, I will check out Trade Smart University, among my favorite go to sites is Investopedia, they cover everything subject by subject, also Seeking Alpha daily articles on investing and certain stock reviews emailed to you daily at no costs, Zachs & Motley Fool are good solid info sites.
I have tried options, covered calls, & puts but prefer going long on good solid ,wide mote stocks, safety is my first concern, i trade the same 4 or 5 stocks over & over & over, you get a feel for them and know when to strike.
One thing i have done for several years is buy 1 share of a good stock that interests me, I Don’t sell it, I keep it on my account screen and look at it every day, after a few weeks you get a feel for what its pattern is, that along with considering general market conditions on the day you make a trade, like has the market pulled back for 2 to 4 days. I only buy when the stock is down at or below support level. Making money in stocks is hard work and you really have to be into it to be successful.
Good Luck,
